Day 35 - Love
All great texts encourage us to love our enemy. The ancients understood that creative energy comes from love. Love makes life rich by making us part of something bigger than ourselves.
Reflection
- An enemy does not have to be life-threatening or violent; an enemy can be a thought that gets us to look at something in a different way.
- Consider how befriending someone you previously thought of as an “enemy” can transform that relationship.
Action
- Today, write down three things you appreciate most about the person you like the least.
- How can you change your perspective about this person?
“I celebrate the connections in my life, from my past, present, and future. I joyfully accept love in all its healthy forms!”
Amy Leigh Mercree
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
Martin Luther King Jr
“You don't love someone because they're perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they're not.”
Jodi Picoult
“I have decided to stick to love...Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
Martin Luther King Jr.
